Now in 2018, the game is still growing. A triumphant women's football record was achieved on May 5th with a crowd of 45,423 turning up to watch Chelsea beat Arsenal 3-1, which saw Chelsea lift the trophy for a second time.

An outstanding Ramona Bachmann double and Fran Kirby’s excellent strike sealed a 3-1 success for Chelsea, with Vivianne Miedema giving Arsenal hope with a close-range finish to make it 2-1 after Bachmann struck twice early in the second period, winning her Player of the Match.

The 2018 final was an unforgettable family day out, with plenty to do prior to the game including; fan zones, live music and then the big match.
